We'll transform your home—or the venue you've chosen—into a beautifully organized mahjong experience. From the game setup to helping keep play moving, you can relax, spend time with your guests, and enjoy the event.

Want to add a special touch? We can also incorporate themed décor and table styling to complement your celebration. Theme options are customized for each event and can be discussed during the planning process.

What to Expect

When you book a private party with GatherMahj, we take care of the details so you can focus on enjoying your guests.

Your party may include:

  • Premium American Mahjong sets, racks, pushers, and playing accessories

  • Complete table setup before guests arrive

  • Current National Mah Jongg League cards for up to 8 players (additional guests should bring their own current cards)

  • Guided play throughout the event

  • Strategy tips and answers to questions as guests play

  • Assistance with game flow and table management

  • Optional card tables, if needed

  • Optional themed décor and table styling

These gatherings are designed for players who already know the basics of American Mahjong but would enjoy having an experienced host available to answer questions, settle rule questions, offer strategy tips, and keep the games moving. If your group includes a few newer players, we're happy to provide extra guidance to help everyone feel comfortable.

Every event is customized to your group, whether you're hosting one table of friends or a larger celebration with multiple tables.

Every gathering is a little different, but we can provide a starting point.

Guided Play

One Table (up to 4 players)

Starting at $150 for approximately two hours

Includes one fully equipped table setup, guided play, and event hosting.

Additional Tables

Each additional table (up to 4 players per table) starts at $75 when booked as part of the same event.

Optional Add-Ons

  • Card table rental (if needed)

  • Extended event time

  • Custom themed décor and table styling

  • Travel outside the Raleigh area
